The Switch 2 going down a little while the PS5 goes up notably is certainly not what I expected. At least things should be a lot better the next couple weeks thanks to the Zelda Switch 2 model followed by the OOT remake.

So Nintendo Switch Sports Resort did absolutely nothing for hardware sales.

Signature goes here!

Does anyone know if there is some shortage of Switch 2 in Japan to restock for Zelda? I remember Nintendo withhelds consoles before the launch of Bananza to allow stock when it launched. I found those sales very low for what it should've been.

I'm not entirely surprised, I feel like the problem with an evergreen game like Switch Sports is that a new entry really has to evolve in order to excite people. The original Wii Sports Resort introduced 1:1 input which was huge... Nintendo's mantra recently has often just been to make everything "bigger" but for a lot of experiences that actually isn't what people are looking for and not enough to convince them to buy a new console when Switch Sports already exists and serves the same purpose pretty well.

Good sales for FF dissonance.

Comparing it to Rebirth on Switch 2 where Dissonance performed a lot better, it's seems that there is probably a big crossover with PS5/Switch Hardware ownership, so many people already played Rebirth elsewhere. Or the Switch 2 audience has very little interest in modern AAA style JRGs. Probably a combo of the 2.

I'm personally going to give it a miss as it lacks genuine vision of a mainline entry and is a bit of fan service title with poor writing, but It shows clearly the potential of 2D-HD & Turnbased for the series. If they're willing to tell original stories with same level of ambition with which they approach a ground up title ala Final Fantast 5 through to 16, I'd love for this to turn into it's own series with this game acting as a proof of concept.

Really Strong number for FFR accross the board. Really happy with the performance.

The Switch 2 version of Rebirth, which being a miricle in its own right, it a step down visually from the PS5 performance mode... which itself if terrrible.  I bought the Pro for this game (which looking back was a fabulous decision).  Maybe my eyes are getting worse but like some of these games are too damn blurry.  A game like Resonnance is perfect for the Switch (like its actually much more enjoyable than playing FF7 R on Switch 2 simply because its not a blurry mess).

I think these results for FFResonance should serve as strong evidence that yeah, FFVII Revelation release day-and-date on PS and Nintendo platforms will be big. Though it will be the third entry of a trilogy, which means less accessibility and therefore potentially lower sales compared to Remake & Rebirth…

NS2 and NSR both had really really really sad and disappointing sales. But FFR did fabulous
