Cutting Edge (Theme of Vanessa - VF4)

The Courtyard (MK1 arcade)

Palace Gates (MK1 Genesis). I'm pretty sure this is a remix of the arcade Game Over theme done by Probe Entertainment.

I was kind of leaning more towards individual game tracks in the actual thread, but SF2's overall soundtrack is indeed one of those that was as iconic as the actual fighters.

Smash not only has access to Nintendo's entire catalogue, but they also have some original bangers like Brawl's theme composed by Nobuo Uematsu.

To answer the poll question: I think the fighting game series with the best music is Tekken. But the quality went downhill since Tekken 6 imo. Tekken 7 and 8's music are kind of trash.

Touhou ties or edges out Final Fantasy for me as the video game series with the best music, but it's primarily a SHMUP, so Tekken takes it.
