I’ll withhold my own thoughts until others have commented. I’m very interested to hear how others feel about Nate’s recent actions, revealing many major announcement anywhere from a few hours to several months prior to a presentation.

I mean it's not just him. There's plenty that leak games early. Ideally it wouldn't happen it deflates the shows a bit, but hypocritically I like to pay attention to the rumours and leaks.

You can't avoid either, unfortunately. Even on this very site, but on social media as well. A YouTube recommendation, a reel on Instagram, just the title is enough to spoil the whole show.
It spoils the surprise. The shitty part it's very hard to try to avoid these leaks because you never know when they happen. In this case it was months before.
Imagine not knowing about the OoT Remake and getting that surprise? Would've been wonderful.
Still happy with what I saw, but could have been more magical.
Honestly, I don't really care either way about the leaks themselves. The interesting thing to me is the way people view Nate. It went from "this guy is full of it and he's making stuff up" to "dammit why does he spoil everything" in matter of weeks. There was a thread on this forum were people are arguing over the veracity of his leaks. Now his word is gospel.

I would prefer if leaks like this didn't happen since it is a lame way to find out about something. While Nintendo showing almost nothing from the OOT remake would've still been a mistake it would've been gone over better if a lot of people didn't already expect it. For many people a single big announcement they find exciting is more important than how a direct is overall and while an OOT remake isn't new 3D Mario or Smash level by any means it is still a significant final announcement so some people who would've felt excitement at that trailer were just like "there it is" instead and had their disappointment of the reveal showing almost nothing heightened.
Leaks don't bother me. In the grand scheme of life, for me at least, video game leaks rank somewhere above inanimate objects and below dark matter. They're there, but I never think about them. I have far bigger fish to fry... and eat... with fries (chips for those in the UK) and vinegar.

Nintendo might have also introduced it with a more comprehensive trailer that had more to show, instead of feeling pressured to get ahead of it.

I'd be inclined to agree with you if Ocarina of Time had a 2027 date, but it has a 2026 date. Realistically that puts the game 4 to 5 months out. The game is mostly completed at this point.

I've already spoke in a few lengths about leaks, Nate involvement and the leak culture as whole. It really only benefit the attention seekers like them and the most impatient of us seeking for any kind of relieve over the anguish of not knowing ...
Honestly, I try not exposing myself much to it, but it's the internet, of course I saw some of what was leaked inadvertently despite looking for it, but still managed to be surprised on a few occasions thankfully!
