Mina the Hollower, the new game from the Shovel Knight devs has released today.

Shovel Knight is a truly excellent game and was one of the indie games that got people eyes on the whole indie thing and helped it explode into what it is nowdays, one of modern gaming best things: a successful platform for keeping creativity alive and offer people gaming at very reasonable prices.

Mina the Hollower is $20 in all platforms if I got that right, so if you guys liked Shovel Knight or like 8-bit style games, go give it a look and see if you are interested.

The game looks to be really good, even as I still can't personally say for myself as it just came out and I haven't played it yet, just bought it first thing before going out for work.

It has a 92 on Metacritic right now.

It's available on all modern platforms: PC, PS4/5, XBO/S, NS1/2.

I heard the guys are not very well financially, and after them giving people, including me, 3 new campaigns for free for buying Shovel Knight back then, I personally think they deserve support to get back on their feet.

It's definitely on my list of games I want to play very soon but I just got 007: First Light so I'll finish that before.

Signature goes here!

Just got it. I was looking forward to this game

Ooh I love seeing two threads open on Mina! I'm gonna get started later today. Purchased first thing this morning.

(Also, BraLoD, you purchased a digital game? I thought you were against supporting such practice?)

I purchased a digital game, day one, and full price no less, that's a REALLY rare thing to happen, I only ever did it twice before, in 2017, lol.

But yeah, I do buy indies digitally, a lot of them actually, because most of them hit my "how much I'm ok to spend on a digital game" eventually. Indies can have a way harded time putting out a physical copy, so it's very understandable, but when they do get physical releases I can double dip so I have the physical copy and they get my support.

I would usually not buy a digital game for $20, but they gave me so much for free after my purchase of Shovel Knight, and I read they are really needing this new game to sell well because they are in a really bad spot financially, that I did it asap to support them.

I was really interested on it, but it's more to help them, and that's also why I also made this thread.

Buying it on Nintendo. It just seems a game that fits the platform well.
