Forums - Gaming - Rayman Project *Leaked*

Insider Gaming understands that the reveal of Rayman Legends: Retold, AKA Project Steambot, is expected within the next week and that the game is scheduled to release on October 1, 2026.

It’s the perfect gift for Rayman and platforming fans with Summer Game Fest 2026 season around the corner!

The Rayman Legends Retold logo suddenly appeared and began circulating on social media on May 27. Obviously, when something like this appears out of the blue without context, there’s an element of immediate skepticism.

I am kind of bummed if it is more of an remake with extra stuff because I have been looking forward to a new Rayman 2D game or Rayman 3D game.  Both ofcourse would have been best...

It is a really great game, but I dunno how a remake would be exciting, it's a good looking 2D game already

From the title it seems like a remake/remaster kinda thing. Wish they did a new game altogether, miss me some new Rayman adventures.

Having read AC:BF Resync early impressions and seeing the state of the Rayman rereleases, I remain skeptical of Ubi. I’ll wait until people get hands-on with this game before getting my hopes up. Love to see Rayman getting a new release, in any case!

I don’t know what’s up with all these remakes of games that don’t need them. Rayman Legends looks and plays like a game released today.
Hopefully they will at least add new content.

One of the best 2d platformers ever, but a bizarre remake.

Will have to see what they do to justify its existence. Because Rayman Legends I'd already perfectly playable and looks good on PS5/XSX/SW2 and PC. With the recent Switch 2 boost mode you can play it handheld in 1080p so the need for a Switch 2 patch pretty much evaporated as well.

I wonder if they will require that stupid Ubi account nonsense. I refuse to buy a Ubi game until they drop their nonsense requirements.

Switch 2

Online required for SP games. So it's automatically shit because that's what Ubisoft does to every game now.

You can play most of their games offline. Some might have mandatory connection when you first install the game. I know a couple you can avoid the need for a ubisoft account if you boot them while disconnected.

Origins and Legends were masterpieces. I wish they just did a sequel to Legends.
