Love the game, but I cant think of a less needed remake(except maybe a remake of Cuphead)

Just make a new game already...

Remasters that barely touch the game but 'justify' significantly raising the price are probably almost free money though, and they might also be useful for raising awareness of the franchise for future releases. They keep getting done because people keep buying them - maybe not straight away, but it probably adds up over the years.

The person who leaked the Rayman Legends Retold logo (which has been backed up by Tom Henderson) has now leaked Rayman Origins Enhanced is also coming.

This one makes more sense as you can't currently play Rayman Origins on PS4/PS5 or Switch/Switch 2.

Though Legends does include 40/66 of the levels from Origins...

It is on the xbox store now,  with a place holder price of 1999.99$ and no one has bought it yet.

Seems to come with the typical 'better graphics and resolution' and some quality of life updates

I don't really care, I got the Platinum for Origins and Legends and I got all the achievements for both the games...Not gonna go for a third time.

I know ubisoft financials were dire last year but a $2k game? Holy shit!!!

That’s the Rayman tax. It’ll be worth it.

As unnecessary as this is, a re-release of this makes sense, Ubisoft needs as many wins in the short run to gain time to turn their company around. Though I swear, if they had wanted that, they could have released Far Cry 3 on the Switch. Even without multiplayer, it would have sold great.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Ok ubisoft. I'm ready to be impressed.

If the price is right, I could see double dipping, native 4k at 120 fps would be lovely, at $30 ($40 max).

This is Ubisoft we're talking about: these Rayman games will likely cost $20USD before the end of the year lol. I'll hold off until a sale and if word-of-mouth is good— otherwise I'll stick with the tried-and-true OG experience of each. After all I did just purchase both on Steam on sale.
