Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft’s 3 billion bet on Copilot is assessed to be a disaster

Good, I'm so sick of all the AI bullshit everywhere. I go to great lengths to uninstall and/or disable AI functions whenever and wherever possible.

Now MS only needs to launch Windows 12 as a subscription, and they've done the whole lap of dumb ideas for the PC platform.

An investment in AI that turned out to be a mistake. No, really?

I'm not going spend time to watch the video, but it does indeed not look good for Copilot. This makes me very happy, because Microsoft seemed to try the classic strategy of throwing it everywhere and seeing what sticks. Turns out, there's lot that doesn't stick - and I'd say much of that should've been obvious from the beginning. I hope this was a calculated risk on Microsoft's part instead of incompetence causing AI integration everywhere.

Good riddance, fuck copilot and fuck AI garbage being forced into absolutely everything.

It's even been forced into reviewing job applications. AI tends to throw away random job applications for no reason from what I here.

It’s going to move us towards candidates that check all of the boxes and then he or hiring managers can select for an interview. But people like Curl 6 that are nuanced and good writers won’t do as well bc ai could care less about that.

So much for AI bringing in efficiency.

Thanks for your concern, but I'm actually in a secure job, AI's not going to be replacing autistic peer mentoring any time soon as AI can't be autistic. ;)

Copilot is awesome. Legit can make a list of compounds and have copilot can make a table with physical parameters. Makes life so much easier. I use it at least 10 times a day.
