Forums - Politics - Hittler faces off against Zielinski in French town election

In the small French town of Arcis-sur-Aube, population 2785, mayor Charles Hittler is running for re-election, and one of his opponents is named Zielinksi.

Hittler is a retired laboratory head and Zielinski is a 28 year old customs officer.

Apparently 37% of the town supports Hittler.

Personally, if my last name was Hittler, I think I'd have changed it as soon as I legally could. Further, I would have constantly hounded my father for having not done the same when he was young, and certainly before I entered the world. Somethings just need to be done lol

This guy might lose the election because of his name alone.

Well, he is the mayor now, so the town already elected Hittler once lmao

Is there a french pronunciation of the name or is it said as it's spelled?

Oh, I missed the part of the re-election.

Also, this Zielinksi guy is quite young. And people seems to support him quite well, since Hittler has only 37% of supporters.

You may have also missed that you are commenting on a first round election in France?
