Matt Piscatella has revealed that according to Circana data the PS Portal has reached a 7% attach rate to the PS5 in the USA. By VGChartz numbers that means it has sold over 2m units in the country.

Last we heard it had "exceeded a 5% attach rate" by the end of October. So the Portal has had a very successful holiday.

A 5% attach rate at the end of September would be 1.34m sales, so the Portal could have sold up to 660k units in the USA last quarter.

That's impressive for an over-priced internet-required device.
If there was a PlayStation handheld that had my PS4/PS5 library with no internet required to play the games, I'd probably buy one. Even if it was more expensive.
