Wow, TLOU2 story is spectacularly awful.

Spoiler!

Imagine if at the end of Halo 5, you're playing as Locke and beating Master Chief to death.....

Fans are gonna be PISSED

Yep, I'm glad that I never got into the first game, reading the leaked stuff about this game makes it seem absolutely terrible. I hope that Sony has secretly created a new studio to take over Uncharted since Naughty Dog is rumored to not be interested in Uncharted anymore. I much prefer Uncharted and would love to see a new Uncharted series where you play as Nate and Elena's daughter Cassie, or even a prequel where you play as a younger Sully.

I'm generally not as fond of ND as most. I made it maybe 6 or 7 missions into Uncharted 4 before calling it quits, cus frankly, I felt like all I was doing was watching one cutscene after another, and when I actually did get to do some stuff by the last mission I played, the AI was so astoundingly stupid that I honestly couldn't be bothered to go on. I fully understand why their games get high marks, as the production values are all absolutely top notch, and the gameplay mechanics are all solid enough, but the package just doesn't quite come together for me.

I would take Tomb Raider over Uncharted any day, and not think twice about it.

I agree. While I do like Uncharted, I find the series overrated, they are not 9/10+ games, more like 8-8.5/10. Tomb Raider reboots are definitely better, especially 2013 and Rise, Shadow was a bit disappointing though. I like the Uncharted series enough that I will play future Uncharted games if they make them, but I'm not attached enough to rage if Sony ends the series.

Rise definitely had by far the weakest story of the new TR games, and I also don't appreciate that they seem to basically ignore her character progression from each game, so with each new one she kinda comes back as the panicky, reactive girl that has to toughen up and overcome all over again. It's pretty tired at this point. I wanna see her become the determined, confident badass she's supposed to be.

That said, I did appreciate that Rise stepped up the game with the puzzles a bit more, though they could still stand to get much better, and I really enjoyed the option to turn off all the various environmental hints. Made for a more immersive gameplay experience.

Gears Tactics, I'll be playing day one on PC through Gamepass. The game looks really good.

As I recall, the ending of Shadow sets up a remake of the first Tomb Raider game from 1997. I would assume that Crystal will be remaking the first Tomb Raider next after they finish Avengers. At least I hope that they go back to Tomb Raider after Avengers, I don't want to see Square place Tomb Raider on hiatus like they already did with Deus Ex. I'm hoping that Eidos goes back and makes the 3rd and final game in the Deus Ex Adam Jensen trilogy after Avengers as well.

I honestly wish that neither of them had to take the time to make that Avengers game. Not really vibing with that project.

Ya, I mean obviously there's always gonna be people that like it, and that's cool. Unless somebody wants to make a point of arguing the merits of various storytelling decisions with me, I don't really wanna in some way diminish somebody's enjoyment of something, or tell them that they're wrong for liking it. What somebody else does or doesn't enjoy isn't really my business.

When I say something is awesome, awful, or whatever other adjectives I might use, that's just my unfiltered opinion of the effect it had on me personally.

Spoiler!
And, of course, just straight facts, cus I'm right and you're wrong. Idiot.

How is Darksiders III for someone who enjoyed Darksiders II but isn't particularly a huge fan of the franchise, I enjoyed it but I don't care about it too much, I'm thinking about playing it after I finish Link's Awakening, or just moving onto Pokemon.

I enjoyed it but the combat and the gameplay in general is obviously inspired by souls games.

It has an option to play more like a traditional darksiders game but i havent tried it.

The performance is pretty bad though, lots of framedrops(played on xbox one x).

Hmhm, maybe I'll play Plague, both on Gamepass...I'm trying to pass the time faster cause the wait for the May event is starting to feel slow...

Darksiders 3 is a good game but it's clearly held back by its budget.

Plague is awesome! One of my favorite games on gamepass.
