Wait a substance that's harmful does harmful things?

You take your filthy water in middle ages and I'll drink beer.  See who dies first.  There are some benifits alcohol has brought to society.  It's just everything in excess is harmful.  Hell too much water and not peeing is deadly. 

Alcohol may or may not reduce testicle size. Steroids shrink testicles but increase muscle mass, a fair reasonable trade off.

Good thing I'm straight edge. Never liked the concept of drinking poison.

You do realize we don't live in the middle ages right? 

Yet we still have a problem with drinking water and only going to get worse in the future.  Too many damn humans.

What if there is a lot of alcohol involved? Like for example when your mom is visiting the town and she becomes worried that everyone knows you as “The Scotch Guy”
