Detail About Battle and Midgar world Expansion

The Midgar portion of FFVII will be its own game, with subsequent episodes to follow.

“Remaking Final Fantasy VII has allowed us to dive much deeper into the world and its characters than ever before,” said producer Yoshinori Kitase. “The game design was optimized for this title as well, and we anticipate two Blu-Ray discs’ worth of gameplay content. The first game in this project expands on the story of Midgar and is such an elaborate retelling that it’s become a solid standalone game in its own right.”

Next came a demo of the remake’s combat, which diverges from that of the original by fusing real-time action and strategic command-based combat. Every time you press square, Cloud swings his buster sword. He can also dodge and block. However, Cloud also has active time battle meters that fill on their own, but do so faster while he’s landing attacks. When the ATB meter is full, you can enter a tactical mode that slows down time and lets you choose actions from the command menu. These include abilities, items, and spells. You can bind abilities and spells to shortcuts if you want.

“The game has been made so that players can choose how they want to play,” said Kitase. “I hope players get excited about that.”

You can also switch between characters, which Square Enix demonstrated with Barret. The two battled a giant scorpion robot and a number of smaller enemies. Combat was dynamic and cinematic, with the robot leaping to different areas of the level while Cloud and Barret bantered and bickered. At one point, the two even took cover behind debris while the robot fired a giant death laser. They then proceeded to finish it off with signature moves including Cloud’s cross-slash.

Detail About Game content and  Episode

As a reimagining of one of the most beloved video games of all time, Final Fantasy VII Remake has big shoes to fill in delivering a new take on a classic, and according to Square, it seems that this first chapter of the game will indeed be pretty hefty.

During Square Enix’s E3 2019 press conference, the company confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Remake, or at least the first portion of the game that we will be getting early next year, will ship on two Blu-ray discs when it arrives.

Specifically, it was detailed during the conference that the first part of Final Fantasy VII Remake will be “a solid standalone game in its own right,” though it wasn’t quite clear just yet how many chapters/episodes that the remake will encompass in total.

Square Enix will also be offering the Deluxe Edition of Final Fantasy VII Remake, which will retail for $79.99. The Deluxe Edition will offer a hardcover art book with concept art from the game, a mini-soundtrack CD, a Cactuar Summon Materia DLC, and a special SteelBook case featuring the one and only Sephiroth.

Square Enix also revealed a second special edition of the game called the 1st Class Edition for Final Fantasy VII Remake, which includes all of the content of the Deluxe Edition alongside a Play Arts Kai-made Cloud Strife statue alongside his bike and Buster Sword. The 1st Class Edition is a whopping $329.99 and is exclusive to the Square Enix Store, but appears to be the ultimate edition of the long-awaited remake for Final Fantasy fans.

Square also noted that all pre-orders of Final Fantasy VII Remake (across any version) will also receive a special Chocobo Chick Summon Materia DLC with the game’s launch next year. Pre-orders of the digital release for the game from PlayStation Store will also include a PS4 dynamic theme featuring Cloud & Strife.

Around the Network

I have never clicked faster

Looks real good.

Tifa is packing

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

So we have Tactical Mode alongside action. I may like this, but I will need to try it out.

So the earlier gameplay trailers definitely didn't show the whole picture. lol

so the first part of a probably over 3 parts game will be the first 2 BDs of PS4, they are planning something gargantuan.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Midgar is the first part of this saga and it spans TWO Discs.

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

2 BluRay discs, that is still 5 hours of gameplay for, for example, a Kojima Hideo game. lol

And the 57'th reason why people shouldn't have ran with that misstranslation calling it 'Episodic'.
All it did was cause unnecessary confusion, and making people question the length of the game.

First game is seemingly 2 Blu-ray discs.

Anyway, there's a lot to unpack with these two new videos. The freeze time ATB system will surely make a lot of people happy.
Tifa looks awesome in combat. And the whole segment against the Scorpion robot boss was amazing. Looks like that fight alone incenitivized more strategy than the entire original game did, for those who are worried about that. I'll analyze that fight more in depth later.

But for I just want to appreciate Cloud and Jesse on a bike together.

Square already won E3.

Indeed people easily jump into conclusion, but that also part of SE fault from their early games that used to be milked hard and an unfinished FFXV. FF & alone already big and content around 4 disk , imagine open world, area like FF XV into FF 7

For battle system is a wise choice, i knew there will be a hybrid sistem like Fallout and FF XV time stop to make the games more strategical.

1) Enemies change location, position, and vulnerable states to make you switch between party member in order to defeat them (I want to know how this comes into play with all the different characters and their possible specifications, could it be that you may not be able to defeat a boss if, for example, you don't go into battle with the necessary party member? Or maybe they force you to use a certain set of members in specific situations? Or perhaps there is always a way to defeat them even if you don't have a ranged fighters like Barret in the party?)

2) You can use environment to take cover and avoid attacks? Nice. There is definitely more strategy to this game and those previous trailers indeed show close to nothing about gameplay. Level design will play a big key on how much environment will come into play at battles. It is possible that the good environment stuff we may only get during boss fights or important fights.

3) That Scorpion Sentinel already required more strategy and lasted more than any of the 7 playthroughs I had with it in the original game lol
