Forums - Gaming Discussion - Rumor: Ubisoft will launch Ubisoft Pass Premium (possibly a EA Access type service)

"Eagle-eyed fans of Ubisoft got a glimpse of something interesting on the Ubisoft store today, where a mysterious, out of stock item, titled Ubisoft Pass Premium, was listed on a category that doesn’t otherwise exist.

The question though is what is Ubisoft Pass Premium even refer to, if it is a planned promotion from the publisher?

The most likely candidate is to be a service similar to EA Access, Electronic Art’s service that provides unlimited access to the full versions of EA games for a monthly subscription fee of $4.99 a month, or $24.99 for a year.  EA Access has been incredibly popular for its unlimited access to several AAA titles, and helped in paving the way for other subscription-based services such as EA’s own Origin Access for PC titles, and Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass."

Looks like Ubisoft might announce an EA Access like service at E3. With the large and diverse amount of games Ubisoft produces, this could be an incredible value. Something to certainly watch.

The only thing surprising about this is that it took them this long

Good for them. I hope it's not store exclusive, people hate that.

Good. UBI is easily better than EA.

Looking at their list of PS4 games I cant phantom what I would even play on this service. For Honor I guess? But have that on PS+.

At least EA has Titanfall 2 so that is worth a month sub.

As usual, they really want that "user recurrent spending" cash ...

With the anmount of open world games they have, this could be increadible value.

I'm just waiting for the day where we can have subscription to any gaming studio/publisher and have unlimited access to their games for as long as we pay, no matter how old they are. How much would you be willing to pay a year to be able to at EVERY Nintendo game ever created by Nintendo, including the ones yet to come out? If I think about how much I spend on Nintendo games alone every year, then these annual passes being as cheap as they are seems crazy to me haha.

Good, because being able to buy it from multiple storefronts gives users more of a choice.

Look at Nintendo's first party title sales. Look at the attach rate of first party titles on Nintendo consoles.

They would be throwing away money by doing this.
