Oh, thats nice.If i were to guess it, the compilation will probably include the newer AC games, like Unity and Syndicate.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Black Flag would be great get for the switch.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

That's unlikely. Unity runs at 900p and drops frequently below 30FPS on both X1 and PS4.

AC3, AC3 Liberation, AC4 and Rogue make much more sense. Not only because Switch could handle them but because they also share a story and a setting.

I can't wait to see the Switch version only having AC3 on the cartridge, and the rest as a mandatory download.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Unity is more of a case of bad coding/innfeficient engine than anything power-related.But I do understand what you mean.

In the end I guess it depends on how willing Ubisoft is to port AC games to the Switch. If this rumor is true, then it shouldnt be long to see which games will make up the compilation, since its very likely this is a TGA announcement.

Edit: For a second there I thought Unity had a PS3 version, so yeah, the games you listed seems more likely.Though I do still think that Unity runs like it does because of optimization.

The reason why Unity runs so bad is pretty simple. It's very CPU intensive due to the huge NPC crowds and all consoles have a pretty weak CPU. That's fixed in Syndicate but obviously doesn't look nearly as impressive. It's pretty rare that a sequel looks worse than the previous game.

Only took 2 years for Ubisoft to realize the Switch audience like games like these and not the 130th versions of UNO and Monopoly.

Not so sure Assassins Creed will sell much on the Switch tbh.

I hope this is true, Ubi need to bring some AC games to Switch.

IMO current gen AC games like Unity, Syndicate...dont have too much sense to be included in compilation especially because they would be too big for Switch cart size in compilation, so I agree with people that said that AC3, AC3 Liberation, AC4, Freedom Cry and AC Rogue have most sense, especially because we talking about last gen games so Switch wouldn't have any problem running them.

That would be eventually be "Colonial era" collection while we already have "Italian Renaissance" collection with Ezio Collection.

Also Ezio Collection also need to happen for Switch.

Hard to choose which games I'd want to play. It'd feel incomplete without certain games. But then certain games have aged badly. And there is A LOT of content. I don't know if anyone needs that much Assassin's Creed.

Just start at the beginning and release them in chronological order with the numerical games (1-3). A year later, give us volume 2 with Brotherhood, Revelations, and Black Flag. Then go from there.
