Tomorrow marks a dawn of a new day for Nintendo. New hardware, new games, and rereleases of old games but that's the Nintendo way. Anyway, before we all hit the Switch tomorrow, let's take a moment to remember those who paved the way.

Is there a particular Wii U game that makes you feel all warm inside when you think about it?

Was there a 3DS game that amazed you with its 3D effort? Let's  reminisce.

Wii U gave birth to a new species! Splatoon!
The graphical upgrade from Wii to Wii U on franchises like NSBU, MK8 and SSB was BEAUTIFUL!
The collaboration that brought us Hyrule Warriors and TMS#FE was a BRILLIANT IDEA!
New party games like Nintendo land and the Bowser mode in MP10 was Awesome!

The DS to 3DS Graphics was also Very Nice!
Pokemon X looks soooooo damn GOOD!
Being a Mayor in AC NEW LEAF and all the housing upgrades was Great!
the 3DS Awaken the FE Series! Im glad I got hooked onto FE Awakening!

Pocky Lover Boy!

There were a lot of good games on the Wii U, but the one I'll remember the most is Splatoon, because it's fresh, new and original.

The 3DS has A Link Between Worlds, which is my favorite game of all time (although BotW might change that).

Personally, I was amazed the first time I played Ocarina of Time on 3DS. It was the "greatest game of all time" except a little cleaner. A little more colorful. That was the game that made me believe in 3DS's ability. It didn't pack a ton of power but the 3D made it seem like I wasn't watching a game on a screen. I was watching a world through a window. Switch won't do that. I'm going to miss that.

I gotta say, even though it never caught on, I loved how some games used the WiiU game pad. Off screen play was fine and dandy but Arkham City, Pikmin 3, NintendoLand--there were games using the controller in ways that really impressed me. They captured my imagination.

In the end, I guess it was a failed experiment but I feel a little sad knowing I won't have my "tools" instantly accessible on the controller. I won't have my maps. In that regard, the BotW will always have be wondering "what if."

I remember spending 10 hours with smash 4 on launch day. Good times. A shame the Wii U flopped

The 3ds had too many good games. It completed the layton trilogies, brought back Kid Icarus, and gave us a lot of memorable games. Like the ds, it's another handheld generation from nintendo that I'll love

Yes. Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy is arguably my favorite in the series. Loved every second of the game. Luigis Mansion 2 was an absolute blast to play and laughed my ass off, and of course his sibling had one amazing 3D Land to explore as well Had a great time with the 3DS. My favorite portable system ever right after the PSP and GBA, and easily one of the best systems made by Nintendo.

EDIT: and yes, the story is far from over for my 3DS, and I still have a backlog for it and several titles that I need to buy

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Mario Party 10....too much fun with friends.

Can't wait for a new Mario Party for the NS!

Big fan of both systems, and am still playing both today :p

Just getting DQ VII for 3DS and Zelda for Wii U so I will be playing those for a lot longer

3DS: Story of Seasons, Rune Factory 4, FE Revelations, DQ VII

Wii U: Zelda, Xenoblade X and Splatoon

so lots of games to play :p

Man, every layton game was such high quality. I feel horrible knowing that we'll never get a game to show what happened after Claire's death and Luke leaving

I really hope we get a remaster with the original trilogy in 3D and with the prequel games- I'd happily pay $60 for it.
