SECOND UPDATE: Guys, Nintendo did listen, no more glossy crap, matte matters!

I'm not sure if this topic hasn't been made yet, but this essential question needs to be answered!

Doesn't matter if the NX is a handheld, home console, mobile, tablet, watch, fridge, oven or toaster.

Nintendo has mainly been using glossy finish for these past years, especially for the first handheld models, to then have revisions with matte finish. Meanwhile their controllers lately have glossy faceplate with matte grips. 

What's the general preference for the next Nintendo device?

The glossy finish looks pretty but it gets fingerprints really easy, so I would prefer them to use matte this time.

Matte, it looks cleaner that way. Also, I'm sure Nintendo will use some sort of faceplats with both the handheld and the home console. The N3DS precedent is there.

I also select Matte. I would pick glossy if it comes to a wanted special bundle.

Matte is more fingerprints and dust friendly, so that's my choice.

Matte for me, Looks better without finger prints all over it :)

Matte by far... esp for handhelds (glossy handheld => fingerprint hell).

Depends on the colour really. If its black give me matte if its anything else it doesn't matter

Glossy for the home console itself, matte for the handheld and any controllers for the home console.

Too early to call, but it looks like matte is going to win by a landslide.

I also prefer matte, its functional and sexy. I see glossy-white-finish as a remnant of the iPod generation.
