Would you be shocked?
Would you Cry?
Would you hug your PS4?
and would most of you show double standards?

I would say cool and then shrug. Probably sell my current PS3?
It would greatly improve my opinion of the system. Still wouldn't buy it, I don't buy systems that block MP under a paywall.
Same as my reaction to x1 bc. I'd wish the spent their time and resources going forward instead of going back.
Backwards compatibility is a big selling point on launch day but two years later it's fairly pointless.

Yes I would.... but this is the difference:
Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel
Ar nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star
Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk
Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky
Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland
Atelier Rorona Plus: The Alchemist of Arland
Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland
Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea
Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland
Cross Edge
Disgaea 3
Disgaea 4
Eternal Sonata
Fairy Fencer F
..
..
.
.
list goes on and on.
It has the JRPGs.
I would redownload my digital games and probably play them more than any PS4 game I own.
I'd love to see it happen. I have a few Ps3 games I need to play, but haven't hooked up my Ps3 to play them.
Yes, there would be some double standards, but their rationalization for it would be something like, Sony is doing it right, or better somehow, or because of jrpg's. ☺😊
I hope they can do it eventually, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I feel like paying for MP is a really big deal for people until they actually do it. Then they realize that spending between $30 and $50 for one year of PS+ or Gold is basically nothing and go on their merry way. I mean, if you nab a membership during a sale, you really can go as low as $30, which amounts to $2.50 a month you won't have to buy all in this world that you can get for $2.50. Although the games technically aren't free since I need the membership for them, both services do offer enough incentive that if you even get one or two games for free that you really enjoy, oftentimes it feels like the membership paid for itself.
I mean, it's like paying a monthly fee in an MMO. People sweat it and condemn it until they find themselves in a position where they're actually paying it. Then they realize it wasn't all that big of a deal after all.
I've paid for MMOs, I currently am about halfway through a one year PS+ membership that I paid $40 for, and I had brief stints paying for Live on the 360 even when I was a broke high school student. It really doesn't matter.
OT: I would be amazed since it isn't technically feasible with the PS4. The hardware isn't there to pull it off.
I'd say something like Sony lacks creativity and has to survive by copying ideas from the competition.
Then I'd proceed to play Siren: Blood Curse, of course.
