I am feeling the hate for Konami very strong in the forums.

The present grudge for Konami may lie with the recent departure of Hideo Kojima who is believed to have been fired by Konami.

Another unpopular decision from Konami: the cancellation of Silent Hills after the critically acclaimed demo P.T. was released.

There's also an apparent focus from Konami to mobile games, which paints a dubious future where Konami could be directing efforts towards dedicated gaming and console releases.

So I want to see what is the current feeling among VGCharters towards Konami.

Do you guys no longer expect anything from Konami? Are you waiting to see what comes from them to have a better opinion on what to expect from the company?

Or do you believe they can still release great games without Kojima Productions and their new focus towards mobile?

OP: They've pretty much gone downhill. I don't expect anything worthwile from them anytime soon.

The kojima situation was just the last drop.Konami was proven in the past 5 years unable to make good games or even make good decision that would make its fans happy(the cancellation of Sillent hills and the horrible games made after sillent hill 4, the focus on mobile games, etc).So yes, without kojima, i dont believe Konami can make even decent games

The only games I recently bought form them were MGS. I'm not bothering with 5. I don't care about that company anymore. Or what they do.

Have no faith... wouldnt preorder a game from them.

MGSV will be my last Konami game, that's easy. It's not like they will do anything worthwhile for a while anyway.

I stopped trusting Konami after they turned Castlevania into a god damn God of War ripoff! It's sad that we went from games like Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin to that....
