If console = only home console, why the necessity to put "home"?

But there is also something like context. And people are lazy... when they say "console" in most cases they mean "home console", otherwise they would say "handheld". And when they say "PC" in most cases they mean "Windows-PC".

Long as you understand that most people that say console mean home console. If you go into a thread that says "PS4 best selling console this generation" and you go in to argue about how the 3DS is actually doing better than you've just turned off your brain momentarily so that you could argue about how great Nintendo is doing when I think we all know what the OP meant.
