I prefer Uncharted 3 to 2  by a big gap

Genrally I found the shooting the combat and graphics better

Also found the villains and story to be way better

Found the levels more diversified

Horse Riding and Plane levels and his childhood level I found those truly special

except for MP why do people prefer Uncharted 2

I preferred 1 to 2, but I never played the third game.

The story is just more coherent in Uncharted 2 in Uncharted 3 you had these setpieces that ND just wanted to include in the game (the Shipyard) even though they had no real point in the story, which made the whole story just a little inconsistent at times. Also Lazarevich was just a better villain than the woman from the 3rd game (I can't even remember her name).

From a gameplay perspective both are pretty equal I feel, but I liked that you could play certain sections pretty stealthily in Uncharted 2 and I believe there were a lot fewer of those sections in the third game which was also unfortunate imo.

Both are still great games though, Uncharted 2 is just a little bit better.

I prefer Uncharted 3 aswell, but just a bit more, not by much.

I also prefer number 3. Uncharted 2 is still a good game though

Better villian, better story and young drake sequence, far more diverse levels and way more 'WOW' moments. (Plane crash, cruise ship, getting on the plane) Damn writing this reminds me I need to play U3 again.. for the 5th time.

I like both.

2 was such a leap from 1, even though 1 was great. 2 made me feel like it was a hollywood movie, though 3 wasn't bad by any means. my order of favorites is 2, 1, then 3.

I think I'll keep this in mind for when I play the series.

I agree. I believe people were expecting a high leap from UC1 to UC2 but since it wasn't like that people probably felt disappointed.
