Just going to say that I laughed here.

I forgot to add which had the better sidequests.

Last Story was better, but both were good ALTHOUGH they both could have used some extra polish.

Wouldnt mind a Last Story 2 in the way Final Fantasy gets sequels.

The last story wins all categories!

I really enjoyed Pandoras Tower. A hidden gem.

The Last Story was a mediocre RPG.

But these two are very different kind of games.

I can see why you would say that. You are someone who puts a huge emphasis on story, so something like The Last Story that shoves actual gameplay out of the way should be right up your alley. Still though, The Last Story's story isn't anything special and mentions some things only in passing, so it's hard to really care for; like Yuri's past, those events come all of a sudden, there's no build-up to speak of; it's really all about Zael and Lisa, with everything else being more or less an afterthought.

Actually, I can't believe you have such low standards when it comes to stories. You are definitely trolling.

Haha, well, jrpg's definitely arent the best at story telling these days... Still, I did not enjoy the core mechanic of pandoras tower much at all, so it is fairly easy to rate the last story higher.

I liked The Last Story a little better. I liked the destructible environments, the crossbow targeting, the jumping and sliding over obstacles in the areas, the commands to your team which added strategy to fights, and the story and soundtrack were great! It truly felt like what Final Fantasy would be if it were still the glory days of Squaresoft, but on a micro budget. God I wish we could get a Wii U version to see just what Mistwalker could pull off.

The art direction in Pandora's Tower was great, but every mission started and ended the EXACT same way. Run to kill a monster, rip out its heart, feed it to the girl. It's a great throwback to early 3D Castlevanias and a great game (I would DEFINITELY love a sequel) but I just thought The Last Story was better. If there was a sequel, I would love for it to incorperate going through the entire tower in one go as the game, instead of having to go back to the house every single time you ripped a heart out. They could do it by having the girl come with you. Seemed like a quarter of the game was filler.

The Last Story's characters and combat give it the win in my book.

By the end of the game my team felt like a group of old friends, and I was sad that I had to turn the game off and leave them. There was real sense of camaraderie.

Dominating the battle field with gathering, spell circles, and command mode felt great also.
