"The Enchanted Edition is a free update for the owners of the PC version of Trine. There are added features, most importantly online multiplayer and mid-level saving. The updated version does not impact the original game. Instead, both versions are available and can be selected from the game’s launcher.

At the moment the Enchanted Edition is only available for Windows, but we will be adding theMac and Linux versions afterwards. For now we can’t give a timetable for these yet, but we’ll let you know when it’s time! The game is officially released today on Steam. GOG.com and Humble Store versions will be out really, really soon, so just be patient. :) Console owners will no doubt be happy to hear that we also plan to bring Trine Enchanted Edition available for digital purchase for the Wii U and PlayStation 4 in the future."

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

First Trine is so much better than Trine 2. Trine 2 was crap.

... So it's free for PC owners, but not for console owners? Guess I can't really complain, got it for free on Plus anyways, lol.

This game is really beatfull, but the gameplay is not that good from what i tried on the demo.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

It's a free update for PC owners who own Trine, but Trine isn't even on Wii U or PS4, only Trine 2 is.

Trine 2: Complete Story, that I got free with Playstation Plus, contains the first game too, so I was just assuming we'd be eligible for the free update, y'know?

So, Trine 2 sold well enough on Wii U?

It was pretty good, but the platforming was too floaty.

Frozenbyte is the first studio that I would actually say should start making some new games, Trine 3 if you can't let go of the franchise. Really enough with the ports, upgrades and remasters.

That said I never got around to play the first Trine on the PS3 so will buy the Enchanted edition on the PS4, hopefully it will have an amazing stereoscopic 3D option on the PS4, like Trine 2 has.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Trine 2 was pretty good and I didn't get to play the original Trine, so I will definitely buy this!

Trine 2: Complete Story contained the whole first game? I don't recall that, since the Complete Story had the full second game, as well as the DLC that got released on the PC. All descriptions I'm reading of the title don't mention a single instance of including the first game with it.
