Forums - Gaming Discussion - Are XBONE graphics closer to Wii U than PS4?

With the recent news that MGS:GZ is 720p 60fps on the XBONE, is anyone else starting to feel that the system is closer in terms of graphics to the Wii U than the PS4? There's certainly a large gap between the XBONE and Wii U, no one is denying that, but the gap between the PS4 and XBONE appears even larger. I'm certainly thinking so.

the xbone wii u gap is the bigger one. but nintendo is better at making games.

Until the Wii U has a game that looks as good as Ryse then I'm not sure. Most of its games are "cartoon-like" instead of "life-like".

Speaking as a huge Wii U fan: no. Absolutely not.

Is this real? Are people really asking this?
Multiplats might look and performance a little better on the PS4 but saying it's closer to previous gen is pushing it.

Well this thread was pointless.

It's pointless because the first 4 people responding disagree? Give it time.

Best looking console game is a Xbox One exclusive. That should give you the answer.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

We should wait for Watch dogs to compare. It's a big graphically demanding game that should easily show at which point the respective hardware caves.

Just judging from the specs it looks a lot closer to the PS4.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Ryse is arguably the best looking game on the market. Even though PS4 is more powerful than XBO you would have to have two TV's setup side by side to really notice the difference between one or the other unless one game is running 60fps and the other at 30fps which is noticeable.

WiiU has some good looking games like X for example but WiiU is considered closer to X360/PS3 than PS4/XBO.

So with that said PS4 and XBO are comparable, possibly a XBOX vs PS2 Situation but the opposite now. WiiU on the other hand while has good looking artistic games, i dont think it could pull off a game like Ryse or Killzone Shadowfall

Also considering it is still early in the gen, the best has yet to come.
