Dying Light is $50 on 7th gen and $60 on 8th gen.

That leads me to believe the 7th gen version will be an inferior product and not just visually.

8th gen is starved for games right now, so they can charge more and people will still buy it, while 7th gen needs a price incentive to pick it up.

Well when you compare AC4 on PS4 to PS3 or 360, there is no doubt i would pay that bit more to get the PS4 version if the gap is the same or more likely bigger

I would rather expect them to charge the normal 60$ on 7th gen, and premium 70$ for the PS4 version to be honest. So I can see a scenario from the OP happening.



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

At the moment companies are pricing 8th gen more than 7th gen, because of the extra costs involved and the lower number of sales they would expect to get so early in the life of these new consoles. This has nothing to do with the quality of the product.

As for the quality of the product, well we have a set of consoles that is 7 years old, or consoles that are at least 3x more powerful (which isnt insignificant).. so both graphics, FPS, rendering, audio, characters on screen, load times etc etc will be worse, so yes it will be an inferior product. Not sure why that would be a surprise to anyone.

I think the $10 price cut will reflect the quality of this game. I just hope its nothing too significant.

7th gen needs an incentive to pick this up? The masses own 7th gen consoles, that's why many people will get the 7th gen version.
