I do praise lost odyssey a nice bit. in my opinion the 360 still has the overall better selection of jrpgs relased in the west. Though thats changing quickly.

now that i have a 360 i will look into blue dragon, lost odyssey etc. however itwas mainly bought for Kinect/family games so having time for a jrpg on it will be hard, unlike my ps3 which is only used by me in my room
I've wanted a 360 since tales of Vesperia.
But...I had no $$.
Now that gen's ending i'll pcik up a PS3 and play the Jprgs there.
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

LMAO, yea that's true. Ni No Kuni recently released, Tales of Xillia 1 (and maybe 2) are just around the corner. Plus Star Ocean did go multi-platform, and there are a good library of others: Tales of Graces F, WKC 1 & 2, Folklore, Valkyria Chronicles.
I'm willing to say PS3 is JRPG king this gen, as soon as Tales of Xillia releases.

Wait until Nextbox is announced, then wait a little more until Ps4 and the Nextbox are released. The price for a Ps3 or a Xbox must be really low by then.
Then you should aim for:
(360) -> Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant, Magna Carta 2, Tales of Vesperia, Ninety-nine nights (not exactly an RPG) and some others.
(Ps3) -> The Atelier series, Ni No Kuni, a new Tales of game (Graces?), Demon's Souls, White Knight Chronicles, Valkiria Chronicles, Folcklore! and some others too.
If owned both, then you've also got: Eternal Sonata, Dark Souls, Resonance of Fate, Nier...
Probably because it's on 360 for most people.
For me, I just never got round to playing it, and I don't really feel driven too because of the art style of the game. When I first got a 360, Tales of Vesperia completely overshadowed it.

Then you should play Eternal Sonata too.
I can't find Tales of Vesperia in any Spanish store anymore.

Why should I play Eternal Sonata? I was thinking about it, but didn't go for it in the end.
I couldn't find Tales of Vesperia anywhere either, paid over £50 ($80) for it on eBay. Worth every penny.
Because Lost Odyssey is insignificant for 360 fans. Wide majority of us prefer western games to anime storybooks.
