How do you play it online, I dont get it? Just got it straight off the bat as I had some MSP lying around, and I really liked the PC version, but java can be such a bitch and my laptops graphics card burns out all too quickly when I play it for a prolonged period of time.

Anyone know how the online works? I have not bothered to read up, are there dedicated servers and such where you can play with randomers, or is it only friends specific? I know split screen is pretty big too.

I believe you have to invite people to come join in your world for online play, idk I'm playing online with it right now and I didn't see the option for searching with ramdoms

Oh shit!! I just remember that this is out. I've been waiting for this for years!!

*runs to download it*

only friends or local co op.

Ah that blows, I guessed as much when the option to invite party came up. Would have much preferred to have dedicated servers similar to the ones that you can get on MC with server list etc, wouldn't mind joining random servers and meeting new people.

Yeah you're online if you're connected to live. My Live trolled me and disconnected, as a result it notified me in game that it was going into offline mode. Kind of sucks that there is no server list etc to allow to meet new people, hopefully will be added in the future.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they add it in a future update especially since I think Minecraft is going to sell huge on the 360.

Not to mention we know that the 360 version will have DLC is says right on the front when you start the game "Download New Content" as one of the options so obviously we'll have some DLC at some point.

Love this game. Have never played it on PC but the xbox version is amazing

I was actually surprised how well it translated onto 360. It's obviously a port of a beta version rather than the full game - ie there is no ending added and quite a lot of the newer features like the hunger are missing, which is kind of a plus for me as I preferred the vanilla version of the game, before all the extra features were added.

I dl'd and played the trial version earlier, and I can see why the game can be pretty addicting. I was scrambling to gather resources before night time (which comes pretty damn fast) to finish off the half-built "safe house" that the game starts you off with.

But I felt that managing resources and using the different crafting devices to be a bit cumbersome, and the fact that (for now anyway) you can only play locally or with friends online instead of with anyone is a big bummer since Minecraft seems to be more socially-driven than just a solo experience, so gonna hold off on an actual purchase for now. Too many other games I still have to find time for as it is.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

-When you create your own world. Theres options whether you want other people to join you without warning or INVITE only.

-There is only a max of 8 players per map.

-Technically it is not a Server but a hosted game. Because if the player who owns the world logs out or exits minecraft. The world will "sleep".

-Split screen co-op can be up to 4 local split screen. And even online. Splitscreen does not work on 4:3 TVs. (SDTV)

-game runs on stable 60fps

To play Co-op, you need to have TWO account on your xbox (They dont need to be gold). The second player needs a second account logged in. He then can play the MAP the first player has created IF HE HAS A CONTROLLER WITH A SECOND ACCOUNT. The second player need to just press start on the controller.

Not sure about online co-op (I think both accounts need gold which is unlikely but im unsure).

Yay!!!
