The World Ends with You is one of the most critically-acclaimed DS games. Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura has hinted that the series could return one day on a number of different different occasions, and with character cameo appearances in Kingdom Hearts 3D, the possibility of a new game is stronger than ever before.

Nomura added more fuel to the fire in an interview with Nintendo Dream. Rhyme, Beat’s younger sister, was given a voice in Kingdom Hearts 3D. In The World Ends with You, the development team only implemented reaction voices. Nomura told the magazine that Kingdom Hearts 3D features voice acting for Rhyme ”out of consideration of the future of The World Ends With You series.”

Nomura went on to tease, “Regarding The World Ends with You, I can’t say anything at present… (laughs). But there probably is something.”

Bring on The World Ends with You for 3DS (please)!

I am jumping for joy right now, I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. One of the best days of my life. I want to cry. One of my favorite games of all time. I just hope I am not getting ahread of myself.

I could not get into this game, the need for a stylus killed it for me and I ditched it after about an hour's play

Not a big fan of DQ but have played ToS. Pretty decent RPG but nothing of the level of TWEWY though.

Screw VXIII, IMO this is the game Nomura should be making (and hopefully is)

Good so there is a future for the series.

This future though may lie billions of years ahead of us knowing Nomura's pace of making games so I won't get my hopes up or expect anything.

I never understood this sort of attitude. People got over analog sticks without a problem, depsite the lack of precision they sometimes offer compared to D-pads. What's so difficult about stylus control?

Goddamn it, I still haven't played the first one! Anyways, sounds like good new and another reason why I may just get a 3ds sometime soon.

Also, I will also jump with joy, cry and proclaim it the best day of my life when Kingdom Hearts 3 is announced...PS3 exclusive :D
