B (80-84) No complaints. 21 8.57%

C+ (75-79) Not bad but no... 31 12.65%

C (70-74) Maybe if somebody gave me one...... 10 4.08%

F (59-0) It's garbage, son! 11 4.49%

Total:245

Okay, the 3DS has been on the market for a while, now.  When it launched, it was met with tremendous negativity.  Now, it's doing great.

  • New consumer friendly low price
  • Great games (worth buying a console for) supplemented by good games in various genres
  • 3D video recording and playback
  • eShop with lots of good content
  • Improved online and social features
  • Great features like AR Games and Motion control.

So what would you rank the 3DS at this point?  A great addition to the Nintendo legacy or a blight on the history of gaming?  The last gasp of a dying trend or a breath of fresh air in the stagnant world of portable gaming?  Let's hear it!

*Yeah, the 3DS isn't a year old but 2011 was the first year it's been on the market.  Don't like my logic?  You can suck my balls.

*drops pants*

Hmm.  My balls are still dry.

~~~~ Mario Kart 8 drove far past my expectations! Never again will I doubt the wheels of a Monster Franchise! :0 ~~~~
hehe
I love the system so far! having fun with Mario, Zelda and Pushmo (which is an awesome game!) that not many really cares about.
glad the system proved the doom sayers wrong! like how it has been since DS
can't wait for RE:R, Luigi, Paper Mario and the next Zelda!
I give the system a B+
    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(
I won't rate it as I don't own the system, but I'm glad it's getting some good games.
C+ ... Disappointing beginning with a strong finish, overall earned a passing grade but there is significant room for improvement.
C+ - The console is not bad, its fantastic .... I can taste the future potential, but currently its lack luster all the great games camrat the end of the year or next, thats a hell of a long time for good non port software... I still dont own a 3DS game.
I'll give it an B+ or maybe an A.
It's not even a year old, yet it has a lineup that already contains OoT3D, Monster Hunter 3G, Tales of the Abyss 3D, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Starfox 64 3D, Dead or Alive Dimensions, SSFIV3D, Blazblue, One Piece, Resident Evil. Next month we are getting RE Revelations as well. Not many platforms can boast a lineup like that after such a short period of time.
B+ as of now. I've never been disappointed with the Hardware itself. As for software, it started off very slowly, had a little bump around Zelda's release, but slowed down a bit. Since Super Mario 3D Land's release things have really picked up.
I've been picking up too many games lately for it; Mario 3D, Devil Survivor Overclock, MK7 and just earlier today Monster Hunter 3G. I still have Zelda and Tales of the Abyss to finish as well!
starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."
Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"
Zelda:OoT; SM3DL ; MK7 ; PullBlox (I bought it yesterday I alreadly love the game) = B/B+.
There's still much to improve but imo it had better first year than Wii for instance.
Right now, B-.
The system's near total lack of games released during the summer, and many late arriving features is the blame for this. If they are going to launch it so early in the year, they should at least have stuff like the internet browser, eShop, and Friends List ready. Other bad points, like I said include the games, and the fact that the system is/will be overrun with shovelware if 3rd party support doesn't improve (You can mostly blame Ubisoft for this, but 3rd party support looks to be improving, at least in Japan).
Now for the good points. The onslaught of good games coming is a good sign for the future. The 3D is great, and Nintendo Show 3D is pretty decent, but still goofy. The online is where some of the biggest improvements were made. When Swapnote comes, even more improvements will be made. The gems in the gaming lineup, and the smaller stuff like Cave Story are also good things about it.
