I really doubt it especially because of exclusives like final fantasy and Twisted Metal.

Not only do most FF games come out on the 360 but it also won't give that big of a boost (except in Japan) Games like Halo, COD and GT are the one's that get a huge hardware boost. As for Twisted Metal...well that's most likely going to get a really small boost.

In fact I would argue that Halo 4 or the Next COD itself will push more hardware then both FF and Twisted metal put together.

Shocker, but the ps3 is selling more than the xbox (correct me if im wrong) in weeks that don't have any exclusive games coming out. so maybe those empty weeks will be able to push the ps3 forward just like this year. and Im sure that more unnamed PS3 exclusives are coming out that will be sure to push hardware

But your whole first argument was that with exclusives like FF and Twisted Metal, the PS3 would sell more...I was just going off of what you said.

I think the Wii U is going to steal a lot of the HD consoles thunder and they will both be down pretty signifcantly next year. Holidays will make up a greater chunk of the sales then ever. Considering the 360 will get black friday deals of under 150$ this year. Next year you can be sure to see at least one store selling the 4gig version for under 100$. The 360 could win next year if the wii U does make ps3/360 sales decline, but otherwise I think the lead the PS3 will build up by the time the holidays start will be too big for the 360 to make up with ridiculous deals during the holidays.

BHR, you've gone too far now.

If I see you in the streets, I will demolish your face!

Wow, you are really going out on a limb with this. You might as well add that the Indianapolis Colts won't reach the playoffs this year.

I know, I am such a risk taker.

Easily, a price cut will be enough. Sony won't cut the price of the PS3 again, and the Wii will continue to decline. Quite amazing when you think about it: the PS3 will win 2011, the 360 2012. So both the 2nd and 3rd place console will have won a year in the seventh gen.

2012 - Top 3 [so far]

                                                                             #1                                       #2                                      #3

The PS3 will sell the most next year as well. There's final fantasy versus xIII for your hyped exclusive, and even if its not an exclusive it will sell PS3s. Not to mention FF 13-2.

Halo 4>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>FF13

Maybe in software sales, but when it comes to hardware sales they are mostly similar. If FF v 13 releases exclusively it will be bigger HW wise than halo.

To outsell the PS3 the 360 needs to be selling well throughout the year, don't see that happening. Even the price cut will be pretty late by which time PS3 might get a good headstart like this year.

If they cut the price early, then it might be a little more beneficial but still don't see it outselling the PS3.

wasnt it supposed to be the top selling this year.
