The wii had bit of complaints about it not being "powerful" enough. Though after finishing punch out I found out that this little console is more advance then I thought. In punch out I used the motion based controls. I actually had more fun with it then a regular controller as I felt more immersed  into the game. I felt like I was the one boxing. Its so good that I never want to play a boxing game without motion controls. This goes the same with almost any sports game. The wii of course does not have a adventure game based on motion controls.

Not one! Zelda is the closest and that's not coming until November and it took 5 years to come out. Why do we not have more games that use it? Imagine star wars or Star fox. It was the only reason I can play FPS now since its much faster and feels more accurate to me. We don't even have a motion plus Mario party game! Also if inaccurate controls were a problem motion plus is here for a reason. Imagine how many kind of games can be made.

I believe also that the wii's life was cut short. *The wii was made to play motion based games and not one was made. Imagine if the HD twins didn't use HD. See what I mean?  Its not like the competitors are rushing the next gen systems ether.

I'm I crazy or do I speak sense?

*Games like just dance is put under the sports genre

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true. 2nd UPDATE: I have no Switch 2. I am now behind

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Wii get an Indiana Jones game based around motion controls? I'm not too sure on it...

On another note, couldn't Epic Mickey be counted as an adventure game?

You could also probably say the late arrival of WM+ didn't help the situation.

What the Wii needed was a 'killer app' for motion controls for so called 'hardcore' games, preferably when the console was in it's infancy. Games like Metroid Prime 3 showed how great pointer controls can be, the Wii should have had an equivalent for motion controls. Zelda SS could be that game, but the Wii will be about 5 years old when that hits store shelves. I think motion controls as a whole would be more widely accepting within 'core' gaming circles, if the Wii had a game like Zelda, which heavily utilised and relied upon motion controls in the period of 2007 - 2008.

Yes it does. That's part of the reason why Nintendo has had its recent struggles.

nobody really tried, not even Ninty, im still waiting for Mario Tennis/Golf. "Core" gamers would be more accepting if the "core" games didnt suck.  I throw a little blame at Ninty's way also, how much better would Red Steel 1 had been if the wiimote worked the way it should have all along (the way motion + works)? If the actual technology was good from the beginning I believe more devs would have done better things with it. And when motion+ did come, the only thing that sold well was the damn game it was packaged with. Hell Ninty didnt really support that thing, even Wii Play Motion flopped

I'm also gonna say the lack of a Star Wars game for Wii (and you could say PSM), yet one for Kinect, is hilarious.

I just looked that game up. IF it was desined around motion controls it wasn't done well

No it only uses the pointer I believe

That's why I say the wii had its life cut short

@Mr T-Tar

Putting motion based games in 2007-08 is exactly why they are the wii's rise and peak year

Well the sad thing is despite Motion Plus being out for quite a long time now, no games utilized it to what it can and was designed to do. Nintendo and third parties are to blame. Nintendo should have had Zelda ready for last year because that would have caused other devs to think of making medieval adventure games and those games could have been released this year. Motion controls I believe could have been used a lot better than what we have seen so far because it was barely tapped.

Definitly yes.. All you have to do is play through Zangeki to realize this missed potential. Red Steel 2 uses it pretty well too I guess.

I'm guessing you are familiar with this? (from pietriots.com)
