Hybrid and Nintendo next gen versus handheld a the weakest of bunch. It's not selling more than OLED despite the less expensive price, guess why. Because it cannot be Switched LOL.

None of Nintendo's current consoles are hybrids, they are all mobile devices with docking functionality... The same functionality that phones and tablets have had for decades... Doesn't make my phone a Hybrid.

Mobile SoC, battery to play mobile, display, wireless connectivity, physical controls.

The fact that one device sells more than another doesn't impact me, you or anyone else and doesn't make one product better than another.
Your argument is stupid.

None of Ikea's current office seats are chairs, they are all furniture with sitting functionality... The same functionality that sofas and stools have had for decades... Doesn't make my seat a chair.

upholstery, armrests, legs, screws, braces, and a cushion to sit on.

What I'm trying to point out is that you're either ignoring established categories or don't even know the basic level categories for gaming consoles we've been using for 10 years. The category we assign to the Switch (sans Switch Lite) and Switch 2 is hybrid console. The "hybrid" part because they function as a home console when docked and a handheld by undocking and attaching the controllers to the side to play; while handheld/home console play is sufficient, it can also be used as a tablet too by undocking without attaching controllers and using the touchscreen, or in tabletop mode by using the kickstand.

While everything you can move around is technically “mobile” (it's an accurate verb), we don't categorize things that way. “Mobile devices” refers to a subsection of phones (mobile phones) and their derivatives, such as iPad, iPod touch, and Android tablets; not dedicated gaming consoles. Defining based on composition commits the fallacy of composition and an overgeneralization.

If you’re trying to prove his argument “stupid”, using fallacies and misunderstandings of basic-level categories are counterproductive toward that goal.
