Sorry to butt in here, I'm no playing Nightriegn but I think there is a codex in Roubdtable hold that lays out everything about the bosses, world, weapons and items.

There is and there's a lot of info there but I think it's pretty evident that people are not really stopping to read that, judging from what I am seeing in runs. Some of this info is probably better dispensed through the UI itself when looking at things than being condensed into a codex.

It's no dealbreaker for me but it seems to be a common complaint and I can see how it can be overwhelming

On a side-note, they seem to have fixed the matchmaking issue where queuing as a duo and waiting for a random 3rd person could take forever. Now, wait times for solo queuing and queuing as a duo are similar and usually do not take more than a minute on my end.

You're right. I see people pick a dex class and then have big great weapons equipped. This is basically DLC for Elden Ring, standalone yes but you should basically know how to play Elden Ring before hand. Part of the fun of a rouglite is figuring shit out too and FromSoft are not ones for explaining things, I and I assume most other people used the Internet to find out the finer details when starting their first Souls game. The thing I find really shit though is there is no text chat and they went to no effort to implement other communication features. What trouble would it be to add a wheel that has pre written phrases like "over here" or "Move quickly" and that death ring needs to be nerfed, it should leave people time to leave a building or scale a cliff.
