As gor Pokemon, I hope they one day make modern version of that series done well with BoTW quality, a full RPG open world and side quests, rags to riches type deal with life sim aspects or even perhaps an MMO type game would be really cool. They seem to just kind fail at making those games for some reasons or another the community complains.

Yeah, Pokemon Blue actually takes about 20-25 hours , sometimes 30 depending on grinding.

Yes, I've beaten Super Mario Bros 3 without save states/rewind/etc - I've finished it on NES, SNES (Super Mario All Stars) and the GBA versions. I finished the NES version a few times, my cousins had it on their NES, but I used whistles back then to skip levels. But I did a playthrough of without doing that at least once.

Would love a big budget Pokemon game but the formula they use right now, is enough for them to stay complacent due to how well the games sell. Regardless, I still love the Pokemon games.

You're a better gamer than I. World 8 is just so damn difficult, way too much going on. Did you run through the whole 8 worlds or whistle your way there? I've been told not to whistle and do the body of the game, get good enough to bring as many lives as possible forward but it's such a daunting task.
