Going by Platinums logic, Sony and Nintendo are now neck and neck. 129 million active users each. So there is no point fighting. Another way to look at it would be which is moving the most software and PS4 has slowed down quite a lot this past year, PC accounts amount to Jack shit and the PS5 is doing amazing but I'd reckon, without looking, that Nintendo is winning on this one. Maybe not revenue off the software, mind, 30% of 1.99 is a small cut compared to 30% of the bigger games selling on Sony systems. There are a great deal of things Sony is loosing on with this battle and same for Nintendo and you really have to get into the weeds about what type of costumer owns these systems, what are they buying to figure out which is leading the market and then there's the fact of the Switch lite which is a handheld and how many of them don't count as the console market. This fight is too messy.
