Photography is so fun. Well, depending. Sitting waiting for birds or wildlife is more of a pain than fun but finding a perfect spot and then returning at the right time of day for the lighting or subject is one hell of a dopamine high, when you get it right.Â
He'll, you don't need cameras for the hobby anymore either, flagship smart phones are right up there with DSLRs now, if they could only shoot RAW files they'd be on par or better if they could edit those RAW files with pre installed software on the device with no need for a paid app.Â

Combining the two is great fun. I used to make all kinds of timelapse videos like this
It's very time consuming as you can imagine and I got out of it after software updates slowed everything down and caused frequent crashes while trying to render sub parts. It became frustrating rather than fun to do. Newer video tools don't even support my 1080p digital camera anymore, extremely slow and crash prone.
Maybe once I get a Mac book and modern camera I'll get back to it. Also winters aren't that pretty anymore, it's been over a decade since I have seen scenes like this:

Summers are still very pretty around here, but I take mental pictures nowadays lol. Going for a run around the trails is my favorite, especially along deer trails right along the river. Running with a camera (or phone) is still just annoying.
Got to travel to get new inspiration!

Oh yeah. I forgot to reply to you in the other thread. The sun started to show here the last two days! I hope it is starting to come out for you over there even if it's bouncing up from the snow which can be just as good as a sunny day too if its hitting the right angles.
