The bare minimum would be hardware similar to the PS5/Series X.

Some of the largest third party games, like GTA5 and Elden Ring aren't on the Switch, while others like Witcher 3 are far from the definitive experience. Not to mention their online infrastructure is a few generations behind compared to PlayStation Plus and Xbox GamePass.

Doesn't need to be that good since engines are scalable more than ever and consoles are basically PCs. The biggest thing would be dealing with AMD and that'd make things easier to grab ports but a console somewhere in the middle between ps4 and ps5 would be ideal all that's needed. Like, if they got the PS4 PRO with extra features like DLSS if they can get it working in the switch 2 that'd be fine to get some good ports.

Problem is, the whole audience is on switch now and the smaller audience the switch 2 will have won't make it worth it and by the time it is worth it, 10th gen will be here and they won't be able to port again. Nintendo need better timing as well as the hardware.

Anyway, silly topic. They don't need AAA ports. They have their space with casuals and the Nintendo hardcore. They're all good.
