If I pay full price for a a game, it means I did my due diligence and it's something I was already interested in. It's games I choose and picked out. Opposite of that is PS+ and subscription games. Those are picked for me. Games that I either initially passed on or never even heard of.
It's very rare, or rather an exception that a game from ps+ turns out more fun than a game I picked out and bought myself. It actually happens more the other way around, getting burned on a game I paid full price for. I either don't play it (and seek 'comfort' in my kids playing it) or trade it in. Some I end up never installing though, time constraints. I buy more than I have/make time for :/
Nowadays I don't give ps+ games any attention anymore, add to library, maybe my kids will try it. The last ps+ game I tried was Wreckfest. Fun for a couple laps.
And when I get a month's subscription it is for games I want to play, then quickly get bored trying out other games and go back to my own selection. A limited time subscription does work to actually make me finish games.

Yeah, I'm gonna drop it too after I play a few of the ps5 only games on there, let the new games pile over a few months and hop back on. It's cool but it's often hard to get a game to stick.
