Exactly. I stuck with them back then through the rough but I'm not a teenager anymore, they can't rely on their aging base like they think they can, they aren't apple. The 10th gen could swing very badly for them if they don't get it together cause Xbox is over there incubating games and trying at innovation. It looks mighty tempting had they not started this multiplat stuff and leave doubt of the hardware security for us.

Sadly, I'm almost forced to upgrade to PS5 cause I have no other route to the games I want to play but I can't say I'll be their 10th gen.

If PS6 is a similar level of mistakes to PS3, the only thing salvaging Sony out of the gate that we could already bet on is the digital ecosystem and PlayStation Network. There would still be a notable enough number of early adopters that use the logic of "Hey, it is expensive and doesn't have many games I want to play but I'm already in the PlayStation ecosystem and I want better specs than PS5 and PS5 Pro".

Nah, I don't think it's that strong. The proportion of people who play they're older library is small, people will take their entire library and sell it to get a new console remember. They'd easily depart with their digital one too or keep the around ps5 for it. Trophy Hunters are a minority too and while I have been one and still enjoy them, It's not going to hold me to the system, all it is, is a bunch of numbers. If Sony fucks up, I don't think the hardcore fan vase xsn save them, same as the 13 million hardcore Nintendo gamers couldn't save the WiiU.
