Having played through Monkey Island 1+2, Leisure Suit Larry 3, 5-7, Simon the Sorcerer and Day of the Tentacle, you know that those are a different breed of Adventure games than those one grew up with and cherished a lot back then. That being said, I recently found 3 new Adventures that I absolutely love: Disco Elysium, The Council and The Forgotten City. Their unconventional writing and RPGÂ (Council and Disco Elysium) or Loop (The Forgotten City) mechanics make for something new that those games simply didn't deliver. Also, unlike with the Telltale Games Adventures, choices actually do matter in those! A lot! |
Disco Elysium is a CRPG. That's like lumping Torment in with these games.
