Gamefreak makes the mainline Pokemons, not the Pokemon company.
Besides, look at Ni No Kuni sales and at Pokemon sales, and you know why Level5 didn't made another entry earlier, but already has a lot of Yokai Watch. You may find Ni No Kuni more impressive, but seemingly the majority of gamers disagree.
Also, you yourself play PokemonGo, so sending the signal that they should do more of this.
