Most Nintendo-games ave achievements. They do not have a system that records that on the device and distribute the results through your friendlist. Dunno if that is important. The pressure to put up trophies though is bad, some games on PS have pretty stupid trophies, just for having trophies. That isn't saying a system-wide trophy-system is bad (just without enforcing every game to have trophies), I'm undecided on that. I don't feel much difference in playing games on Wii/WiiU or PS3, I enjoy useful achievements in games in all systems.
