My impression so far - yes, many design-decisions were made to create a video-game-RPG, that resembles well a Pen&Paper-RPG-session. That includes even rolling yourself the dices (I'm not sure if the outcome is really influenced, by how I shake the dices). This has an unexpected effect: like on the gametable I start to curse, if I see a lot of ones and twos. The encounters are resembled by miniatures. The story is told by descriptions, that are very similar to what a gamemaster might tell.

The system itself is nothing I know (no D&D, Earthdawn, Shadowrun or so). But the system could well be played on a table, it is not hacked for usage in a video-game. Also it is a very dynamic system. You can get bonus die, that you can use on every action. As much as you want and for what part of the result as you want. So you can use in an attack a bonus-dice for more damage or a better hit-chance. Or for each one die. Or three.

Interesting, and I really like the attempt to bring the experience on the table to a video-game. So far I like it.
