We all know this generation began when Sony said so. So to the victor (PS3) go the spoils indeed.

Does not compute...what does this post mean?

Just what it says. The generation began in November 2006, and from then on Sony has sold around 3m more PS3s than MS has sold 360s.

That is utter bullshit. The generation started when the first console of the gen was released. And since then, the X360 has sold 2m more than the PS3. Deal with it.

PS3 has been on the market for 6 years. Xbox 360 has been on the market for 7 years.

69.1 million / 7 = 9.8 Million on average per year for XBox 360.
67.4 million / 6 = 11.2 Million on average per yaer for Playstation 3.

Simple math.

Irrelevant.

X360 = 69.1m

PS3 = 67.4m

X360 has sold 1.7m more. Simple math.

Anyway, this is now completely off topic.
