Quit with the country loyalties and realise this as a fact. Or stop the sarcasm. Or...whatever. It's great news BTW, as it's the first live show (I think), so it should attract a few viewers!

I do not want to go off topic, but it is now an American show that has high ratings. It includes Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Degarmo, and a black guy. I am not being sarcastic. You are the one with the country loyalties. Google it if you do not believe me.

I'm not denying the fact that there is an American iteration of the show; but it originated in the UK and will always be the biggest in the UK (a similar thing occured with American Idol and Pop Idol, the Voice and Wipeout are other examples). Simon Cowell was THE host initially for the British show but moved to the American series due to the cash being offered being greater. 

When someone says "The X Factor", it's safe to assume in this context that it was the British version as opposed to the American one, and the facts have already been pointed out (and were infact clear in the article had you read it). So I don't see where the issues are, nor why you had to reiterate yourself. But there you go I suppose. 

Actually Kate Thornton was the host initially, but whatever.

OT: I watched X Factor USA for the first time ever tonight and it was awesome! So much better than the UK version
