And guys, what do you all think, how a generation is defined?
Technology? So the Wii won the 6th generation with a gigantic lead before the XBOX, while the PS2 won the 5th generation?
The numbering of the devices? So Atari has entered most of the gens, because of the big number of released consoles?
A generation is defined by the devices, that are competing with each other. Wii competed with PS3 and X360, the Sixaxis, Move and Kinect are proof, that Sony and MS saw the Wii as competition. Nintendo and Sony on the other hand tried to make their online-offering better, as they are in competition with MS.
