It has sold around 420k+ and with holiday period almost over and the expected release of God War III in March 2010 i expect that this edition might go on and sell 600 - 700k. Not a million seller but not much of a slouch either...

So how u see it? i will say that its good that they have not wasted time of any of their main development house n its good to make some bucks.. but i dont see it too much worth it.. had it been a million seller i would really have been impressed.. Yes i know it has launched in only 1 region, but for $40 and as their one of the biggest franchise it should have done more..

What are your thoughts?

wait for the EU release and i'm sure it'll do more than 1M.

i think it's doing great.

I think it has done great. I purchased it and enjoyed every minute of it. To be around 500k for a previously released game(s), is a great feat. Considering this is not a remake in any way/shape or form, its a success.

700k lifetime seems reasonable too, since I remember reading that they were thinking of bundling it with GoW3 at release (cant find the article but pretty sure I read it).

Im hoping this spawns more interest in doing these updates (MGS's, FF's, Suikoden's, Xenosaga's, etc from the ps2)

That 420k has come from just NA. Should hit 500k at least in that region alone...

Others should add at least 200k, depending on release. Could hit 750k+ Lifetime, which i think is very good... And a lot of profit for Sony.

Considering it only took a short time to make, i think it has done VERY well. Should push Sony to do some more of these "collection"'s, starting with "Team ICO collection".

Oh, possible bundles when GoW3 releases should also give it a decent boost.

It is selling great!

Seems pretty good for 2 titles already played by most people who'd probably want to play them. I'm guessing the lure of 2 still great games with HD resolution and Trophies proved worth having for many US fans.

Once it launches in Others the final total should be very respectable.

It hasn't done well yet, but I think it will in time. The holidays are very busy right now, and PS3 owners are buying a lot of games. The season is too crowded for a game like GoW Collection to stand out. However, the next couple months will be somewhat of a dry spell (there will be some big releases, but not as many), and the game will stand out more. Also, a lot of people will be buying the game once God of War 3 comes out, and that game should have a big debut.

It'll definitely do over 1 million. And when GOW3 comes out, It'll get a boost.
