Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What happened to Wii motion + ?

I think for the most part it wouldn't make a difference for the games that are coming out. Thinking of games that have recently come out, the only one that comes to mind that needed WM+ that didn't have it was NBA2K10 (and really suffered as a result). WM+ wouldn't have added too Dead Space:E, RE:DC, CoD:MW, NFS:Nitro, F1, (possibly could with racing but then wouldn't fit in the wheel), Boy & his Blob, Rabbids Go Home, NSMBW, Etc., Etc., Etc,

i don't think Wii Sport Resort sales support your opinion

they can't just develop Wii Motion Plus games just like this, they need some time, also, Zelda Wii using Motion Plus is huge thing!

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Every game that uses the pointer for controlling a projectile weapon (well guns and stuff) benefits from Wii Motion Plus every time the pointer is slightly off from the sensor bar. Maybe even for other uses. So i think many games should support in in 2010, while not being exclusive to it.

I totally agree, Nintendo should focus on making 100% of their motin controlled games use it and intice 3rd parties to do the same. It makes the Wiimote soooooo much better, so it's starting to piss me off that it isn't supported the way it should be.

If Nintendo made the WM+ obbligatory making all their future games WM+ compatible then there would be a lot of people complaining why Nintendo promised 1:1 tracking on E3 2006 and now they're asking 20$ for something that is still not 1:1...they're doing bundles (WSR, black Wii) and also thir party games are sold with WM+ (GST in Europe, TG10 in Americas)...Zelda will support this and some games like SMG2 don't need it. What do we need more? Next year there'll be over 20-30 m motion plusses, if it's note the Wii 2 year we'll see a lot of games to support it.

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

I´d loved it if We Cheer 2 supported WM+. Even though I really liked the first one, reviewers weren´t completely wrong about control issues.

As soon as Nintendo labelled it 'just another peripheral', that was the day the motion plus coffin was sealed...it also didn't help that Nintendo them selves didn't have a decent line up of games to support it, they should of had at least 20-30 games which supported it, that way they hit every type of game.

I guess Nintendo doesn't care, they sold a couple of million, made huge profits and now are reading their next gimmick, the vitality sensor.

How this device will be used in games I don't really know, but I surmise it'll be vital for wii fit plus 2 or something like that, but one thing I do know is that Nintendo will abandon it like they did their other peripherals once they make a couple more million, then they'll work on their next gimmick, vicious circle, but one that works well because it sells and Nintendo profits immensely...kinda sad to be honest...but that's reality for ya and the casuals love it.

Zelda Wii will more than justify motion plus.

Nintendo will need to release the Wii with Motion Plus as a part of the package. Right now, much like the Balance Board, it really is just a peripheral. You can't really create a consumer experience where they may not have the accessory, or you don't bundle it with the game.

This will truly only be solved when Nintendo releases their next console, or a revision of some sort to the Wii packaging.

You are so far off the mark. They are clearly using it where necessary. You think 20 games wil come out for the sony wand on release? I seriously doubt it.

The fact is that resort is still selling and we'll probably see a tripling of games that use it over the next year. You think they should merely make games that use it? Or should they use it when a game needs it?

Yes.
