No surprise. I'm one of a tiny minority that find Kojima's endless, overwrought, overcomplicated, and nonsensical storylines and cutscenes self-indulgent and distracting. I enjoyed the game "Metal Gear Solid", one of the best on PS1, but was unimpressed by the story.

Somehow, it makes sense that he would enjoy something as trite and awful as the Twilight books. Of course, both he and Meyer are obscenely wealthy and I'm merely overeducated and underemployed, so what do I know? They're better at making money than I'll ever be, so I'm probably just bitter.

Not everyone likes MGS's storytelling since it is very art film like.  Atleast MGS's stories have something worthwhile to say about war whereas Twilight convinces naive teen girls that it is alright for guys to be abusive towards them.

I've seen worse from the book Nineteen Minutes.

"He pinned her hands over her head and ground his hops against hers. She could feel his erection hot against her stomach.
It wasnt the way it normally was, but Josie had to admit it was exciting... She clawed at matt to bring him closer.
'Yeah' he growned and pushed her thighs apart. And then suddenly he was inside her, pumping so hard that she scooted backward on the carpet, burning the backs of her legs.
'Wait,' Josie said, trying to roll away beneath him, but he clamped his hand over her mouth and drove harder and harder untill josie felt him come.
Semen, sticky, and hot pooled on the carpet beneathe her..."

lmao.

Was she being raped? What the fuck was that?

nineteen minutes? that sounds like it didn't even last 10 seconds. pfffft.

Hah, just what I was thinking.  Carpet burns, stains and a bad case of 'grinding hops' for not much fun by the sound of it.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Some times I like to call it "Bitchlight".

what's wth all this vampire hype anyway? you have this twilight series, true blood series, that vampire diaries show, that movie coming out where vampires are the majority and human are the minority. when did vampires become so popular?

Heh, I watched Twilight with my brother and my friend (and with a batch o' Peach Cobbler) and I must say that it was my favorite laughably-bad movie I've seen this year (I Sell the Dead is a close second).

In fact, it contains my favorite movie quote in some time (to which we kept on rewinding and going over again and again): You better hold on tight Spider Monkey!

That's some powerful words Edward.

And don't get me started on the use of the camera in that movie. My God.

Doesn't Twilight encourages pedophilia?Isn't the main character over 100 years old whilst his love interest is 16-17.Please somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

On the topic:I do not see what is wrong with him liking the books.Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.Just because he is the creator of MGS does not mean he has to follow a certain standard of what he should find appealing.

See, I used to say that the only way I would play a Twilight game is if it were a Castlevania crossover.

But with Kojima being so heavily involved in the new Castlevania, I have a distinct feeling we're going to get that crossover (if perhapsnot explicitly), and it won't be the good kind.

Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.
