Bad for you.
Gears of War sold 900k first week, so what? Should we also be dissapointed? As long as Uncharted 2 will have good legs, i`m fine.
The game is awesome, i`m more than sure, it will have Gears of War level sales.

If you are talking Gears of War 1 it sold 600K worldwide to a user base of 5.2 M consoles. Gears of War 2 sold 1.8 M to a user base of 22 M consoles... Uncharted 2 sold 800 K to 25 M users.
You can conclude one of two things from this. Demographics are different between the two consoles OR the sales were poor. Although I feel the sales should have been higher, I think it is more to do with demographics.
I think there are three types of PS3 owners making up 90% of the user base. First there are people who bought it purely for blu-ray movies, second, are the core gamers who buy every console released if they can afford it, third is the Sony PS2 followers going to their next generation for the next generation of PS2 franchises... And then there are the miscellaneous 10% that don't fit in with those categories.
You can see this evidenced in sales. Traditional PS2 franchises that went multi-platform have sold strong and in some cases better on PS3. Soul Calibur, GTA IV, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, (I also bet Tekken and FF) etc. Sony PS2 franchises have performed best... MGS4, GT5 Prologue, etc. But, I think the blu-ray only crowd affect the total sales as well. They aren't necessarily big on games, and they will pick and choose a lot more. New franchises have not done fabulous on PS3. Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, LBP, etc. have had decent sales. I don't think any of them have really driven PS3 sales to a large degree. GT5 Prologue and MGS4 were real drivers compared to Uncharted.
I'm not saying any of this is good or bad, but I think if you understand the user base a little more it explains the difference between 360 and PS3 sales #'s in any particular game.
