Surprisingly, Sony didn't bundle PS3 with TOV (in contrast to Gundam Senki, also released by Namco Bandai).

Either Sony is really pissed or Microsoft has the bundle exclusivity deal with Namco.

They don't always bundle Final Fantasy in Japan though....

They didn't bundle White Knight Chronicles either.

"Kaz Hirai then took the stage to announce that of course there will be a PS3 hardware bundle containing the game. He didn't mention any details -- no price nor release date, though it's sure to be day-and-date with the standalone software. When Square Enix does show it off, it'll be hard not to hear about it."

Also, I don't think MS ever had a chance in Japan to begin with. However, the fact that they managed to bag some amazing JRG's exclusively as well as timed, allowed 360 to reach numbers that the original Xbox could not (am I wrong?). Personally, I'd say they have done pretty good for an American console in Japan where Sony and Nintendo are huge.

OT: FFXIII to be bundled with PS3? I did not see that coming lol jk.  This will definately sell more than Xbox360's MW2 bundle.

That is a funny joke. A final Fantasy XIII bundle will never outsell a MW2 bundle. FFXIII will sell very well though.
